Get ready for official opening

The Surf ’n’ Turf partners will welcome 75 guests from across Orkney and as far afield as Germany, Spain and Malta to celebrate the public launch of the project on Wednesday September 27th.

Paul Wheelhouse MSP, the Scottish Government Minister for Business, Innovation & Energy will cut the ribbon as part of two days of events designed to thank everyone whose hard work has helped us reach this point.

Two public events will give Orkney folk a chance to hear both about the latest developments, and the bigger picture of how hydrogen can open up opportunities for the local community – new skills and jobs, improved renewable energy production.

Come along to the Kirkwall Town Hall on Thursday 21st between 5–7.15pm or the Pickaquoy Centre on Wednesday 27th between 2–3.30pm to meet the project team.
